Brutocao CellarsBrutocao Cellars
Winemaking traditions often begin around the table. Brutocao Cellars’ roots go back three generations to a Venice, Italy dinner table. When the Brutocao family came to the New World and married into the Bliss family of farmers, it was only natural that they would combine their passions and become grape growers and winemakers. Grandfather Irv Bliss purchased our Mendocino County property in 1943. The Brutocao family released their first wine with the 1980 vintage. Shortly thereafter, they chose the Lion of St. Mark, modeled after the lion on top of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, Italy, as their symbol of family tradition and quality. That quality comes from the location of their 400 acres of vineyards in southern Mendocino County. The Brutocao family tradition of serving wine at the table means wines are produced with good food and good friends in mind.

Frey VineyardsFrey Vineyards
We have always been family-owned and operated, and today a third generation helps with the production of fine organic wines in a tradition of sustainability started 30 years ago. Our vineyards and winery are nestled on the slopes of the Redwood Valley A.V.A. (American Viticultural Area) in Mendocino County, California, at the headwaters of the Russian River. All of our wines are made with no added sulfites. Our innovative winemaking techniques compensate for the lack of this synthetic preservative (which can induce headaches, sniffles, and other allergic reactions in some people). The wine is therefore free to reveal its delicate and true flavors. Today, we are pleased that many more wineries and grape growers have become certified organic and Biodynamic®, for the health of our common environment as well as our customers.

Naughty Boy VineyardsNaughty Boy Vineyards
We are a small vineyard dedicated to the production of a world-class Pinot. As in Burgundy, we believe that the care and love of the grapes is the first process in producing a perfect Pinot Noir. We cut no corners in production, using new French Oak barrels every year. Some people spend money on trendy tasting rooms and new cars, we put it into our wines! We are determined to avoid the world of “Mondovino” and wish to remain small and in control of our products. Our farming practices are sustainable and organic. All these result in an exceptional Pinot Noir at a reasonable price compared to other Pinot of the equivalent mastery.

Located along the Russian River in Mendocino County, RIVINO is our boutique family winery. We handcraft all our wines from select grapes grown on our family’s Schrader Ranch Vineyard. Being surrounded by grapes, and desiring to sample the fruit from our vines, we began making small amounts of wine for ourselves. Like many things in life, that simple desire has now evolved. Realizing that we were producing far more wine than we could consume on our own, we decided it was time to take the next step. Hence the creation of RIVINO, our 100% estate family winery.
RIVINO, is a combination of the words: RIVER and VINO. “Where the river becomes the wine.”
